A visit to a Job Fair

On April 29 our class orgnized an activity-to visit a Job Fair.
The Job Fair was in Scarborough Civic Center, and it was about five kilometers awy from my home. I could go there by bus, but I would prefer to go there on foot.In that way I could
enjoy the street sight and it is good for my health also.
It was a very fine and warm day. In the blue sky there was no cloud at all but breeze. On the

street cars and trucks were running one by one. And by the street, crocuses, tulips, lilies,
dandelions and other flowers, whose names I did not know, were in blossom. Birds were
twittering in trees. I was so happy and gay.
At about ten o'clock I arrived at the building's gate. There were a lot of people there in a long line.
Joseph waved to me and some of my classmates were already there. We were in the middle of
the line. After a while the door opened and we entered the center. Two VIP gave short speeches
and then they cut a colored 带. After that, people went to diffirent tables for getting informations from the officers.
There were dozens of tables in the hall. They belonged to TTC,O.P.P,OBM and the amy etc.
The officers and workers were very busy. And the people, who seeking job, some of them looked
confident, and some looked a little disappointed.
I thought maybe minor people could find job by the fair but most people could not. This was normal. But I hope people, who are in difficulty, never give up. A proverb says: God helps one,
who helps himself. The beautiful future waves to us, but we can not only wait for it but must struggle for it. If we try our best again and again, early or later,we will succeed.

Thank you Mr,Ng

Dear Mr.Ng
Thank you for interviewing me today for the position of math tutor. It will be my honor if I can join your tutor team.
I am not satisfied with my performance in the interview. Though I am strong on math, my English is not 100% perfect. But I have been improving it, and I am sure I will make much progress before long and to be appropriate for the position.
I look forword to see you again. I admire the motto: If you give me a fulcrum and I can move the Earth! If you give me an opportunity, I will not make you disappointed.
Sincerely
John

After Seeing Movie Modern time

This morning we saw a movie starring Charlie chaplin, namedModern Time.It was made in 1934,during the time of the Great Depression. In the beginning, the lens showed a lot of pigs were driven to pass a narrow passage, and then many workers crowded through acorridor went to work.In the factory the workers stood by an assembly line. They had yo work very fast and stopless. And they were under monitor even when they went to washroom!Such environment made them nervous, fretful and crazy.
In the movie, the hero was broken down finally, and was put in jail. And when they wanted to let him free,he prefered to stay in jail, because there he could keep from hunger at least! This was a tragedy, which showed in a comic way.Its style is a little like O.Henry's stories Cop and the Anthem or Gift of the Magi.
The movie told us how hard lives people lived those days.Fortunately,as the time went by, that was only history now and it had gone and never would be back. But we should know, even nowadays in the world, somewhere such as some African countries,North Korea, and even in some places in China main land, there are still some people, who live hard lives. We should pay more attention and sympathy to them.
Seeing the movie also reminded me of Charlie Chablin, the great art master. He left us more than 80 movies, some of them were just for fan and some were thought-provoking.His name will always be ih our mind.
